HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America has topped off its compact excavator lineup with its first 9-ton compact excavator, the HX90A.

Designed to deliver robust performance, the Hyundai HX90A offers exceptional power and fuel efficiency, making it ideal for digging and trenching and a wide range of jobsite applications, the manufacturer said.

Weighing 20,040 lb. and powered by a reliable Yanmar engine that provides 65 net hp (48.5 kW) at 2,400 rpm, the HX90A balances strength with fuel economy, ensuring maximum productivity and efficiency.

"Like other Hyundai equipment, the HX90A excavator is packed with standard features that operators and owners will appreciate," said Julio Vargas, compact equipment product manager, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America.

"Key features of the HX90A compact excavator include an all-weather steel cab with 360-degree visibility, a heated suspension seat, a dozer blade, an optional angle blade, a hydraulic quick coupler with integrated lifting hook and five years of Hi MATE telematics. Additionally, the four-way hydraulics allow users to mount multiple attachments without the hassle of switching hydraulic lines."

The HX90A compact excavator is covered by HD Hyundai's three-year, 3,000-hour warranty, plus a five-year, 10,000-hour structural warranty.

"The combination of more standard features and Hyundai's industry-leading warranty provides real peace of mind while keeping value high and owning and operating costs low," said Dale McLemore, director of sales, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America.

The Hyundai HX90A will make its North American debut at the ARA show, in Las Vegas, Jan. 30 – Feb. 1, 2025. It will be on display at the Fecon booth (#1765), equipped with a Fecon SMX36 excavator mulch head, allowing dealers and rental houses to see the new model firsthand.
