The story of Brooks Tractor began in 1945 when Lewis P. Brooks returned home from World War II to Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. Brooks decided that selling farm implements would be the way to make his mark, and soon, with some borrowed capital and a partner, he opened a Ford-Ferguson dealership in a 100-year old wood frame building near downtown Sun Prairie. As the decades passed, the company grew into a premier construction equipment dealer with five locations across Wisconsin. What hasn’t changed over time is the company’s family-owned status, as well as its commitment to its customers.
