Edward Ehrbar Inc. has been appointed an Ingersoll-Rand telescopic material handler distributor for New York City, Westchester County and all of Long Island.

“The Ingersoll-Rand telescopic material handler line presents a great opportunity for us in sales, rental and product support,” said Patrick Ahern, president of Edward Ehrbar Inc. “There is a strong rental demand for this product that we want to fill not only here at Edward Ehrbar Inc., but at our affiliate rental store, Island Rentals, on Long Island.”

Ehrbar has purchased a dozen units that will be available for sale or rent through its rental fleet. Currently, sales and service personnel are receiving factory training for the new line, and the company already has taken delivery of some of the telescopic material handlers.

Ingersoll-Rand manufactures seven models of telescopic handlers in the 20- to 56-ft. (6 to 17 m) reach class, all of which are manufactured at its facility in Shippensburg, PA.

Edward Ehrbar Inc. has locations in Pelham Manor, NY; and in Holbrook and Huntington (Island Rentals) on Long Island. Ehrbar also represents the following manufacturers: Ingersoll-Rand’s road products, Komatsu, Dressta, Galion, Blaw-Knox, Payhauler, Moxy, E.D. Etnyre, LaBounty, Rammer, JRB, Esco, Rogers Trailers and Metso Minerals.

Edward Ehrbar Inc. will be celebrating its 100-year anniversary in 2003.
