I.R.A.Y. Auction Carries On Through Negative 30 Degree Wind Chill Temp

Hot bargains on Iron are needed with the temps dipping to 30 degrees below zero.

Despite the bitter cold, negative 30 degree wind chill at auction start time, I.R.A.Y Auction’s Dec. 6 heavy equipment, truck and trailer auction went on as scheduled in Foley, Minn.

Although the trucks and equipment did not roll over the ramp, there was a caravan of activity rolling though the I.R.A.Y. lot. The auctioneer announced from a van, which was followed by an 800,000 BTU Flagro trailer heater to keep bidders warm. Following that was a bus for buyers who were waiting to bid on an upcoming piece.

For those buyers who preferred staying indoors, the internet bidding system was projected on a screen in the registration area and a ring man relayed bids to the auction booth via a wireless audio connection.

Buyers and sellers alike were happy with the results, according to the company.
