Construction Equipment Guide

IronWolf’s Slasher models incorporate “split system hydraulics” that use two independent hydraulic systems to rotate the cutter drum.

Standing trees, brush and stumps succumb to IronWolf’s Slasher’s 10-ft. (3 m) wide mouth. The Slasher mulches as it works incorporating the debris back into the soil to create a stable base.

The IronWolf Slasher Series includes the 1040 model, which has a Caterpillar C-15 525-hp (391 kW) engine and cutter drum of 10 ft. (3 m) wide, 40 in. (101.6 cm) in diameter.

Additionally, the Slasher provides Mesabi radiator, charge-air cooler, bottom tank auxiliary cooler and hydraulic oil cooler, hydraulic accumulator and C – frame for track-type tractor.

The Slasher can be used in clearing and mulching of standing trees, brush and stumps applications. This includes creating a clear, stable soil base for site clearing and site preparation and standing up to rocks in soil and site excavation of frozen soil with little or no mixing of sub soil into top soil.

The Slasher has the ability to remove roots up to 8 in. (20.3 cm) below the ground surface.
