James River Equipment, Benchmark Tool & Supply Jointly Host Skeet Shoot, Customer Appreciation Event

Contractors from eastern North Carolina tested their shooting skills despite the steady rain at the well-attended event.

Scott Sullivan of Sullivan Eastern in Durham, N.C., operates this new John Deere 700K LGP dozer, which features Smartgrade —   a fully integrated machine control system from Topcon. This John Deere 210G excavator was set up with the Topcon x53 excavator system from Benchmark Tool & Supply.  Benchmark representatives were on hand to answer questions and explain the system, including (L-R) John Mooney, Mike Gaillard, Andy Pugh, Justin Moore, Levi Senter, Scott Smith, Justin Taylor, Perry Pope, Marcus Barnes, Allen Collins, Adam Leviner and Robby Pugh. Taking aim with her Beretta 20 gauge is Joanne Reese, J&J Logging in Henderon, N.C. Joey Ross of J&J Logging in Henderson, N.C., blasted both clays with his Stoeger 12 gauge. Dana Grode, Brian Leavma and Wray Dybal,  all of Landscapes Unlimited in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., enjoy a day out of the office. Randy Smith of Harnett County Landfill hit both clays with his Mossberg 12 gauge. (L-R):?Thomas Maben and Matt Waligora, both of Martin Marietta, have lunch with Eldon Burgiss of James River Equipment. A hearty barbeque lunch was served at the event.

James River Equipment Company and Benchmark Tool & Supply jointly held a skeet shoot customer appreciation event at Drake Landing in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., on Oct. 7. Contractors from eastern North Carolina tested their shooting skills despite the steady rain at the well-attended event.

Drake Landing offers many different shooting points that mimic actual hunting experiences. The company also offers hunting trips for different in-season game.

In addition, James River Equipment and Benchmark displayed a variety of John Deere and Hitachi machines for its customers to operate. Several of these machines were equipped with GPS systems, which help operators move dirt precisely.
