The trio has been attending the winter auctions for 30 years.
 There were several nearly new Case backhoes available; one with 11 hours. Looking over the various buckets are Leonard Schneider (L) of 3-S Construction in Midland, Mich., and Jared Jaenicke of Jaenicke Excavating.

 There was something for everyone, including undercarriage components. Ron Copp (L) of Copp Motors in Cumberland, Maine, and Elvin Copp of Copp Equipment in Gray, Maine. Bobby Tedesco of Gorilla Hydraulic Breakers in Randolph, Mass., was very happy with the attendance and the number of people who came by his booth. Stafford Hanne of Southside Equipment in Nassau, Bahamas, just finished looking at this Komatsu D65PX dozer.
 Laudy Cadet (L) and Keysha Fanard of Randal Mechanical Equipment in Miami, Fla., were very interested in this Caterpillar PS-150B roller. 
 Mark Abbott, Abbott Industries, Kissimmee, Fla., and his best friend were having fun checking out this Big Tex trailer before bidding on it. Mark Via of Via’s Truck & Tractor Repair, Floyd, Va., was interested in this Chevy 4500 Duramax Diesel.  Harry Mulder of Rush Truck Centers, Tampa, Fla., was very happy with his findings after he inspected the engine of this Sterling dump truck.
 Greg Glass of Glass Machinery & Excavation, Jonesville, Va., was looking forward to bidding on this KCM 8020 loader. Jorge Fortis (L) and Orlando Fortis, brothers from Fortis Construction, Orocovis, Puerto Rico, were excited to bid on this John Deere 644K wheel loader.

 Checking out the wheel loaders while enjoying the Florida sunshine are Jim Thorpe (L), Thorpe Farms & Implements, Gary, S.D., and Ray Haluch of Ray Haluch Inc., a sand and gravel producer from Ludlow, Mass. Test operating a Case backhoe before putting it on their bidding list are Caleb Lofty (in cab) and his grandfather, James Lofty of Lofty Paving, Dunlap, Tenn. 
 Monitoring the auction pricing from the comfort of their golf cart are Jesus Ramirez (L) of Vesco Tractors, Gadsden, Ala., and Thomas Davis-Cox of Joey Martin Auctioneers, Williamston, S.C. 
 Looking to snag a deal on a wheel loader or two are Chris Johnson (L) of ALTA Equipment, New Hudson, Mich., and Steve Heckman of L C Whitford Co., Wellsville, N.Y. Jeff Martin’s brother Joey Martin joined in on the fun in the sun and did some of the auction calling during the three-day sale. Big crowds gathered for the heavy iron auctioning. The inside staff keeps everything flowing smoothly. Bob Shouse of S&S Contracting in Morganfield, Ky., looked over the dozers and planned to bid on one and an excavator, as well.
 Seymour Fisk of Country West in Union, Ky., tests out this LeeBoy 8515C paver. Craig Ferguson (L) and Glenn Brouwer, both of Ferguson Truck & Equipment in Dover, Minn., liked this John Deere 644K wheel loader.
 The auction featured Hitachi, John Deere, Caterpillar, Komatsu and other brands of excavators. The three-day auction was a huge success. (L-R) are Adam Gibbings of Red Bull Equipment in Denton, Texas; and Vicente and Javier Martinez of J&D Equipment in Miami, Fla. Vicente has been attending the Kissimmee auctions for 38 years.

Jeff Martin Auctioneers held its inaugural three-day auction in Kissimmee, Fla., from Feb. 12 to 14. Day one featured dozers, excavators wheel loaders, skid steers, attachments and more. Day two featured forklifts, aerial equipment, generators, engines and farm equipment, while day three featured trucks, trailers and specialty items.

Bidders came from every state and many countries. Bidders also bid online and followed the action through a live feed.
