JESCO has expanded its services to include emissions solutions. This service encompasses retrofitting of off-road construction equipment with diesel particulate filters (DPFs) and catalytic converter mufflers (CCMs) as well as consultation services to end-users on emissions regulations.

“Throughout the last few years we’ve been working closely with John Deere and a number of aftermarket emissions filter companies in an effort to provide our customers with the best emissions service and technology available,” said Jon Robustelli, president of JESCO. “This service will help end-users meet the strict emissions regulations we are facing in the construction industry, as well as help them win bids on non-attainment projects.”

JESCO’s emissions services begin with a fleet audit performed by one of its specialists. Following the audit, JESCO is able to determine the best emissions solution for the customer. These solutions may include retrofitting an existing piece of equipment with a DPF or CCM, a repower/engine replacement or renting, leasing or financing equipment with up-to-date emissions compliant engines.

Within the last year, JESCO added Cleaire and DCL International brands to its product offerings, giving it the ability to retrofit a variety of construction equipment brands such as Deere, Cat, Komatsu, Case, Volvo and more with a number of exhaust devices. Since becoming a Cleaire and DCL International dealer, it has retrofitted a number of customers’ excavators, backhoes and dozers with emissions filters. In addition, JESCO also has retrofitted a number of excavators in its rental fleet with DPFs. Some of these excavators include a 210CW and 180CW wheeled excavator and a 160D tracked excavator all retrofitted with the Cleaire Phoenix active DPF.

“Our rental fleet is a very important part of our business and that is why we’ve made the investment in retrofitting a number of units with emissions filters,” said Robustelli. “We plan to expand our rental fleet with emissions filters in order to meet the growing need for emissions compliant equipment in non-attainment areas.”

This summer, JESCO also will offer the new John Deere 744K loader, which is the first loader available to the construction industry with an EPA certified Interim Tier IV/EU Stage IIIB engine. No aftermarket retrofits are required as John Deere has engineered the engine to meet both current and future emissions regulations. The 744K boasts generous horsepower and 5.25 cu. yd. (4 cu m) bucket.

For more than 37 years, JESCO has been supplying contractors and municipalities with a wide range of quality construction equipment including John Deere, Hitachi, BOMAG, Hypac, Indeco, Genesis, Hydrema, Cleaire and most recently, LeeBoy and Rosco. JESCO has nine strategically located branch offices covering Southern New York State, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
