Takeuchi recently handed out its top awards for 2013 — Cobb County Tractor Co. /Perimeter Takeuchi was announced as dealer of the year while salesman Jimi Martin of Perimeter Takeuchi was named salesman of the year. Takeuchi regional business manager Dale McLemore and Takeuchi president Clay Eubanks were both on hand to present them with their well-earned awards.

Located in Marietta, Ga., Cobb County Tractor supplies both the construction and agricultural markets. The company is a full line dealer of Takeuchi equipment that has had a great deal of success with the product line. Cobb County Tractor’s combined efforts with Perimeter Takeuchi (a division of Cobb County Tractor) helped them achieve top performance nationally in machine sales and market share to win the top dealer award.

“Supplying equipment needs to both the agricultural and construction market is no easy feat to accomplish — to do so successfully, you need to have the ability to understand the needs for both the agricultural and construction markets, which Cobb County Tractor has done with success,” said McLemore, who has been working with Cobb County Tractor and Perimeter Takeuchi for the past four years. “Cobb County Tractor provides excellent customer service. As a top performing dealer they are committed to their service technicians attending factory service training and their service department puts the needs of the customer first.”

One reason Cobb Country Tractor and Perimeter Takeuchi are so successful is because of its dedicated sales force. A prime example is salesman Jimi Martin who earned the top salesman award for 2013. Martin ranked as number one in retail sales for North America.

“Jimi is an extremely hard worker, starting his day before the sun comes up and works long days,” said McLemore. “He is a great listener, understanding the needs of his customers and has the ability to meet all of their equipment requirements. He certainly is well-deserving of this award and we are proud to present it to him.”
