Mon February 29, 2016 - Southeast Edition
JM Wood will be holding an auction on March 15-18 in Montgomery Alabama. The company will be selling equipment for HFC Services, Holman Farms, Joe McGee Construction, BlackSheep Woodlands, Glasgow Construction, Flint Equipment Company, numerous government agencies and over 500 other sellers.
Featured in this auction will be a group of (110) 2016-2015 year model Mack dumps coming from counties across Alabama.
"Everyone asks why are the counties selling these Mack trucks in 12 to 24 months and all of this low-houred Caterpillar equipment," said company President Bryant Wood. "The counties in Alabama are on a joint bid program and are able to purchase this equipment much cheaper than you or I can due to their combined buying power. In the case of the trucks, they buy them about 17% cheaper than the contractor does. They are able to run off warranty and then pass the savings on to the end user. This is a great program for the counties and the contractor looking for good low-houred equipment that is job ready."
Also featured in this auction will be package of low-houred machinery from Glasgow Construction - one of Alabama's top bridge companies - which is looking to downsize after several major projects that they are currently wrapping up.
"This auction will feature over 3000 items and we expect it to be one of the largest auctions we have ever done," said Vice President J.D. Gray. "A lot of hard work has gone into preparing this one and we look forward to seeing all of our old customers and hopefully make a few new ones"
