Omni Crushing and Screening, of Brazil, and REMco, of Livermore, CA, recently hosted a trip to Brazil for U.S. and Mexican equipment dealers for a tour of the Omni Screen Equipment facility. Two aggregate equipment dealers that represent New England and the Mid-Atlantic, EESSCO, and Kemper Equipment, of Honey Brook, PA, attended the tour and evaluation.

Brazil, a country of 170 million people and similar in size to the United States, supports a large number of aggregate producers and is an ideal area to test the Omni screen concept, according to company representatives.

Kristoff Staniak, managing director of Omni, traveled with the group to many quarries, mines and process plants throughout Brazil, operating dozens of Omni vibrating screens. Some operations exceeded 4,000 tons per hour, many in severe 24-hour, heavy-duty iron ore mines as well as aggregate quarries.

The Omni vibrating screen is a new option for the U.S. market and its features include:

• “G” forces beyond any conventional screen,

• No drive belts,

• Vibrating mechanism outside the screen basket and material flow,

• Variable throw and speeds on the same screen at the same time, and

• Ideal for rubber or urethane media.

Omni screens are easy to use and maintain, and their design increases the capacity per square foot resulting in up to 30-percent higher production capacities than conventional screens when matched size for size. They are ideal for operators who cannot afford production delays. Whether it’s a simple 5- by 12-ft. single deck, and 8- by 20-ft. or 10- by 48-ft. four deck screen, many sizes are available for all type of applications.

REMco, currently a manufacturer of VSIs, will be manufacturing the Omni Screens in Livermore, CA.

“REMco is very excited about our relationship with Omni Screens. The Omni Screen design is one of the few real screen innovations in 50 years, and brings the screen concept into the 21st century,” said Damien Rodriguez, general manager of REMco.

Both Kemper Equipment and EESSCO now will offer Omni screens to its respective customers in the Mid-Atlantic and the New England territories.
