Kubota Tractor Corporation officials arrived in Nashville for the company’s 2014 dealer meeting. Approximately 4,000 Kubota dealers and employees from the United States and Canada were expected to visit Oct. 12 to 16 for the unveiling of several major new product introductions. This is the first time that Canadian-affiliate Kubota Canada Ltd., joined Kubota Tractor Corporation for its annual meeting. Executives from global parent company Kubota Corporation, Osaka, Japan, also were expected to be in attendance.
“This is one of the largest introductions of Kubota-branded products in our company’s history, including significant additions and enhancements to our turf, agriculture and construction segments,” said Todd Stucke, Kubota vice president, agriculture and turf division. “Many of our introductions will be real game changers for our dealers and for the industry as a whole, so this year’s dealer meeting marks an important moment in time for Kubota.”
In conjunction with the company’s 2014 annual dealer meeting, and as part of its enhanced corporate social responsibility direction, Kubota and its Tennessee dealers have partnered with the Nashville Rescue Mission to donate their time serving meals to the Mission’s residents. Kubota also has pledged to contribute to the organization’s fundraising efforts, matching dollar for dollar those donations contributed by dealers, employees and vendors during their week in Nashville. In addition, company officials will donate to the Mission a new BX Series tractor to assist with their grounds maintenance needs.
“We are ushering in a new era at Kubota, and with it comes a renewed commitment to giving back to our communities,” said Greg Embury, Kubota senior vice president of marketing and dealer development. “Our global brand statement, ’For Earth, For Life,’ represents a commitment to helping make our world a better place for generations to come. The Nashville Rescue Mission clearly embodies these same principles, as they work tirelessly to provide hope, purpose and opportunity for those in need, and we are proud to be a part of their important work.”
As an organization that relies on donated foods, materials and monetary contributions, the Nashville Rescue Mission has expressed its sincere gratitude for Kubota’s partnership.
“We are thrilled to have their support,” said Glenn Cranfield, Nashville Rescue Mission president and CEO. “Their generous gifts will go a long way in helping us to provide for the needy population we serve.”
