Kubota Manufacturing of America (KMA) unveiled its gas-powered Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick utility vehicle to a group of North American press representatives at Lake Lanier Islands in Buford, Ga., Aug. 22 to 24.

The Sidekick is Kubota's fastest utility vehicle yet, featuring a powerful 48 hp gasoline engine. The machine delivers speeds up to and including 40 mph.

The main event was held at the lake's picturesque Pinelsle Point, where attendees took full advantage of some drive time during the Kubota Sidekick X-Perience ride-and-drive. This driving experience was on a lengthy and challenging off-road course and included several models of the Kubota Sidekick running the course simultaneously. Representatives from Kubota also presented in-depth presentations and a walk around of these new utility vehicles. The day was capped off with a relaxing dinner cruise on Lake Lanier.

The final day of the event was a tour of the manufacturing facility in Gainesville, Ga., that produces the Kubota utility vehicles.
