JESCO Inc. recently assisted long-time customer Kyle Conti Construction with its equipment selection and services for the site preparation of the new FedEx facility to be built at the Raritan Center in Edison, NJ.

Kyle Conti was selected for the project, in part, for its experience and knowledge of the construction industry and as a result it was responsible for the preparation of the job site including moving more than 50,000 yds. (45,270 m) of material at the 300-acre (121 ha) site.

When Kyle Conti, president and owner of Kyle Conti Construction, needed equipment for the FedEx project, he did not hesitate to call JESCO for his equipment needs.

“We chose to do business with JESCO because of our long-term, successful business partnership with them and the field-proven reliability of John Deere equipment,” said Conti.

Kyle Conti Construction rented one 300-Series and two 400-Series John Deere articulated dump trucks from JESCO to move the large volume of material at the job site in addition to purchasing excavators, loaders and bulldozers.

The John Deere articulated trucks were chosen because of their fast cycle times and fuel efficiency in addition to their payload-to-rate ratio as well as their maneuverability. Their oscillating frame joint, articulated steering and high-floatation tires made it possible for Kyle Conti Construction to work in the difficult terrain conditions.

The project consisted of demolition, site prep, grading and excavation. It also included utilities, concrete and landscaping installation.

“The size and demands of the job site required rugged, dependable equipment and excellent service to keep the job running smoothly. The ground was unstable due to poor soil conditions. JESCO provided the necessary equipment and services that enabled us to successfully achieve the job’s specifications,” explained Conti.

“We have conducted studies that confirm John Deere is the most efficient in our fleet and JESCO services all of our equipment on site. Their commitment to service results in a zero downtime, which is why we continue to do business with them. JESCO jumps through hoops to keep our business running,” explained Conti.

JESCO and Kyle Conti Construction have built a strong relationship over the years because of their combined, extensive experience in the construction industry. Conti has known Jon Rubustelli, president of JESCO for a number of years.

“My father knew his father and they did business together for years,” said Conti.

Both companies are family owned and operated and believe that providing customer service is important.
