Registrations are being accepted by The AED University for the Management Development Institute at Texas A&M University, which takes place Nov.4-8 in College Station, TX.
Interrupted last year for the only time in 12 years as the result of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack, this high-impact education program is back for the benefit of construction equipment distributor operating managers and executives.
Going beyond helping key managers see change, the topics over four days show how distributor companies can act on the tumultuous changes taking place in finance, human relations, sales, leadership, continuous improvement and other timely issues.
Noted for its spearheading work in distribution education and research, Texas A&M gives institute participants a lineup of prominent faculty from its school of distribution management. Since 1991, more than 600 equipment distributor executives have attended the week-long program, many of them calling it the best continuing education experience they ever had.
Classes are conducted on the university’s campus. AED members’ tuition of $2,200 per registrant includes all classroom work, plus lodging, lunches, a dinner and a tour of the President George Bush Presidential Library. Upon completion participants receive a certificate from Texas A&M.
One institute faculty member, Brian Reynolds, will also appear at AED’s Executive Forum in September as part of a panel discussing operational changes in the distribution sector.
Another, Dr. Ben Zoghi, is a noted author on management and technology issues who is also the director of Thomas Read Center for Distribution Research and Education at Texas A&M.
