The ribbon was cut on Luby Equipment Services' newest facility on Nov. 3. The new store is located at 921 N 1st St. in Fairmont City, Ill. More than 200 guests, including customers and vendors, were there for the celebration.

Luby's Caseyville branch is relocating to Fairmont City, which will give the company an opportunity to better serve its customers. The new 10,000-sq.-ft. facility sits on more than three acres and includes six service bays and a larger parts warehouse. This will allow the Luby service team to complete service work and reduce customer downtime.

"We've been looking for a store for our Illinois location for about 10 years," said Steve Luby, president of Luby Equipment Services. "We outgrew our current location shortly after acquiring Edwards Equipment. We found this building right on Highway 70 that felt like finding a needle in a haystack."

The customer appreciation/grand opening event featured the latest equipment and attachments, a BBQ lunch, giveaways and discounts on parts.

According to Luby, the company is looking forward to doing business at its new home.

"It was a trucking company that we converted into an equipment dealership," said Luby. "It belonged to Newman Carriers and they're a customer of ours now. We're happy with it and we're happy with the Village of Fairmont City."

Luby Equipment Services operates out of its headquarters facility in Fenton, Mo., and six other branch locations. Luby serves its customers' equipment needs with a variety of new, used and rental equipment. The company represents several manufacturers, including Case Construction, Takeuchi, Fecon, Toro, Indeco, Atlas Copco, Eager Beaver, Towmaster and more.
