The second episode of Mack Trucks' RoadLife series, “Built on Family,” was released on roadlife.tv/. This latest installment of the docu-series, also available on Amazon Prime Video, shines a light on the family of men and women who build Mack trucks, as well as another family who proudly bears the Mack name: Sandy Mack and his son, Oakland Raiders NFL All-Pro defender, Khalil Mack.

“Family says it all,” Sandy Mack said. “Meeting people that have worked at Mack for so many years, whose family members also worked there for so many years — seeing generations of families in one organization says a lot about the company itself.”

“Built on Family” follows Sandy and Khalil as they visit Lehigh Valley Operations in Macungie, Pa., and spend time with the men and women who build all Mack trucks for North America and export. The visit gave the father and son a new appreciation of the phrase, “Built like a Mack truck.”

“Being around the workers and what it takes to actually be able to stamp that truck with that bulldog — it meant a lot,” Khalil Mack said.

One of the highlights of Khalil and Sandy's plant tour was the opportunity to meet Tom Mack — great grandson of Mack Trucks founder Jack Mack — who works at Lehigh Valley Operations as a quality product auditor.

“When you've got a company like this that's been here so many years and they still value family, that says a lot,” Sandy Mack said.
