Mack Trucks Employees Honor American Heroes With ’08 Ride for Freedom

Mon June 16, 2008 - National Edition
Construction Equipment Guide

Each year over the Memorial Day weekend, Mack Trucks employees at the New River Valley Plant in Dublin, Va., gather for a Memorial Day ceremony. On May 24, for the fifth year, a Mack highway truck built at NRV joined several hundred motorcyclists — many plant employees — on a journey to Washington, D.C., as part of the annual Rolling Thunder — Ride for Freedom Rally. The Mack Pinnacle Axle Forward model features special graphics showing the sacrifices American military have made throughout history and promoting the Wounded Warrior Project, a national effort to raise awareness and support for the needs of men and women severely injured in the service of their country.
