McCloskey Washing Systems (MWS) has appointed Equip2 as a new dealer and the official distributor of MWS washing equipment in New Zealand and Oceania. The company also will be an authorized service provider for the products, as the MWS brand continues its major expansion worldwide.

Equip2 has established a reputation of delivering quality products and after sales service through 40 years and the McCloskey washing range will fit perfectly into its product line. Equip2 has more than 30 employees based in multiple locations throughout the territory dedicated to the satisfaction of its customers, according to the company.

Equip2 are a specialist supplier of crushers, screens, de-waterers and stackers. Adding the extensive range of MWS washing and classification equipment to its portfolio for use in quarrying, contracting, mining, recycling, demolition and agricultural applications.

Commenting on its recent appointment as New Zealand dealer, Bert Hart, head of sales at Equip2, said: "McCloskey has an exceptional reputation in the industry for quality and reliability. We have been thinking for some time on adding machine models with different capabilities to our line up and after being approached by a number of vendors, then doing our research, we decided that McCloskey Washing Systems would be the best fit for us and our brand. MWS offer a compelling machine solution but also hold similar core values to our own, which at an organizational level is important to us."

Ben Frettsome, technical sales and applications manager, McCloskey Washing Systems, noted that "We are very pleased to welcome Equip2 to our global family of dealers. Equip2's highly regarded expertise and customer service, as well as their strong knowledge of the New Zealand market, makes them an excellent partner for McCloskey Washing Systems."

"Equip2 is situated in a key area for us and will give us greater coverage in New Zealand. The deal is an exciting prospect as they have excellent sales and outstanding service capability, which really fits with our aim to increase our offering to the customer with a local approach and quality through our dealers. I'm looking forward to watching their progress and growth over the years to come."

"The partnership is a strategic step that will provide a strong support structure to customers as well as widens its product offering," Hart said. "The McCloskey range is renowned throughout the world for its quality products, so it's a natural fit for the equipment we already distribute. Equip2's vision is about providing the growing New Zealand market with industry-leading, high quality products and excellent after sales support."

The new agreement brings the full range of McCloskey Washing Systems equipment to New Zealand including the MWS Modular range, Sandstorm, Aggstorm and Compact Sand Plants (CSP).

Initially Equip2 plans on adding two key models, the CSP120 and S130 rinser plants, to its portfolio. The S130 rinser is designed for medium sized operations that favor the ability to be able to shift often. The CSP120 is an ideal unit to pair with the S130 allowing the customer to produce high grade concrete and asphalt sands and also maximizing the product yield against more traditional methods.

The CSP range enables superior separation efficiency from the final washed sand product, producing in-spec sands to desired grade. Each CSP is individually tailored to suit any application regardless of desired tonnage, from 20 to 300 tph, or silt percentage in the feed material.
