Mosser Construction Inc. announced that it was one of the winners of the prestigious AGC of Ohio 2016 Build Ohio Awards. One of seven winners, Mosser was honored in the New Construction Under $10 Million category for the new Ronald McDonald House project in Toledo, Ohio, which was completed for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio.
Mosser received its bronze and marble Build Ohio Award during the 25th annual Build Ohio Celebration on Nov. 4 in Columbus, Ohio, at the Hilton Columbus Downtown. This marks the ninth Build Ohio Award for the company.
The Associated General Contractors of Ohio hosts Build Ohio annually to celebrate the commercial construction industry and recognize contractors for excellence in construction. Build Ohio winners are selected by a panel of retired construction professionals on the following criteria: excellence in customer service, meeting the challenge of a difficult job, excellence in project management and innovations in construction techniques and materials.
The new 38,000 sq. ft. (3,530 sq m) Ronald McDonald House includes 28 guest rooms, comfortable family rooms, a full kitchen and dining area, laundry facility, administrative wing with a conference room, a playroom and an outdoor heart-shaped playground. The playground equipment was installed by 250 volunteers through a “community build” effort.
“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award. Working with the many suppliers who donated materials and the many volunteers who donated their time, made this a special project that will live in our hearts for a long time,” said Charles Moyer, president and CEO of Mosser Construction Inc.
Building with integrity since 1948, Mosser Construction Inc. specializes in commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, water treatment plants and highway and bridge construction. CEG
