MUCA Original Co-Founder Thomas Schany Dies at 75

Tom Schany of Rogers, Minn., passed away at age 75 on May 26. Schany was one of the original co-founders of Minnesota Utility Contractors Association (MUCA) and over the years has given selflessly to the association and the industry as a whole.

Schany was the owner and operator of Northdale Construction and a benefactor of Dunwoody College. Schany was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Loretta (Higgins) Schany; brother, John “Mickey”; sister, Joanne Diffy. He is survived by his loving wife, Louella (Tiber); son, Joseph (Laura) Schany and Jeffrey (Brenda) Tiber; daughters, Susan (Philip) Lesnar, Lisa (Ron) Goblirsch and Denise (Satveer) Chaudhary; grandchildren, Philip, Teri and Brenna Lesnar, Shane and Andrew Goblirsch, Erika and Luke Schany, Eric, Caitlin and Hannah Dreier, Arjun Chaudhary, Blake, Brooke and Bryce Tiber.
