Carson, CA-based Multiquip recently acquired Diamond Back Diamond Blades, Newark, NJ.

"This acquisition allows Multiquip to further strengthen our presence in the diamond tool market and offer our customers new and expanded product lines to enhance their business," said Roger Euliss, president, Multiquip.

Diamond Back, which was founded in 1992, offers a full line of diamond blades and diamond core bits to the construction equipment industry through rental operators, AED,

STAFDA, and to the lumber and industrial markets. It will be operated as a division of Multiquip and will continue to include the diamond blades manufactured by Sanders Saws, a Multiquip company, along with other well-established specialty diamond cutting tools.

"Our customers should know there will be no disruption to their service and only improvements and expansions of our product offerings," said Jeff Durgin, Diamond Back president.

According to Euliss, Durgin will assume the position of division marketing and operations manager. Tom Roe, Multiquip’s concrete/masonry cutting division sales manager, will assume additional Diamond Back sales responsibilities.

Diamond Back will continue to operate from the current Newark, NJ-location, which is inside the Multiquip distribution facility.
