Construction Equipment Guide

Mustang compact track loader models MTL16, MTL20 and MTL25 have been revised to become models MTL316, MTL320 and MTL325. They have been updated to meet Tier III engine emissions regulations and have undergone other product improvements. A fourth Mustang track loader, model MTL312, brings the total number of track loader units in the compact equipment manufacturer’s product line to four.

The upgraded models’ high-powered, Tier III EPA-certified engines meet stringent emissions standards and deliver enhanced performance. Horsepower has been increased and now ranges from 66 to 92 hp (49 to 68.6 kW). These models also boast faster ground speeds, up to 7.5 mph (12 kmh) in high speed.

Increased productivity was a key driver for the improved design of the track loader models, according to the manufacturer.

A new standard foot throttle in all models allows the machine to be fuel efficient. An improved control handle design with additional switches puts more controls at the operator’s finger tips and activation of the “float” function is made easier with an improved push-button.

Standard proportional auxiliary hydraulics, controlled by a thumb switch, replaces the former foot-pedal control design. Models MTL320 and MTL325 are available with a high-flow option — 36 gpm (136 Lpm) on MTL320, 40 gpm (151 Lpm) on MTL325.
