A New Holland LW130TC wheel loader has been doing ’double’-duty for a Pennsylvania logging and lumber company.
Delbert Knopsnider, owner of Double D Logging and Lumber, Champion, PA, recently purchased the New Holland wheel loader to help process the 3.5 million ft. of lumber he sells a year. The LW130TC, equipped with Rockland LFW Forks, serves as Double D’s primary machine for feeding the lumber mill and loading trucks.
When the time came to replace the company’s aging wheel loader, Knopsider invited three local dealers to demonstrate their machines. Each machine was evaluated on its lifting capacity, loading height and operator comfort.
The dealer’s ability to service the machine was also a factor. After interviewing the salesmen and seeing the machines, Knopsnider placed his order with Mark Dublin, sales representative for Highway Equipment Company, Pittsburgh, PA.
“It’s a pretty good all-around machine. We’re very pleased with the performance of the LW130TC and the support we receive from Highway Equipment Company,” Knopsider said.
Dublin added, “There are a lot of great features that make the New Holland LW130TC the right choice for Delbert’s application. The parallel linkage design offers unobstructed visibility to the forks. The spacious cab and standard air-ride seat offer great comfort. Top it off with responsive controls and Torque Proportioning Differentials and the result is a wheel loader that offers a great balance of performance and comfort.”
