New Millennium Rentals in Florida, N.Y., a rental company offering excavators with specialized attachments to contractors and municipalities for special jobs, has moved into a new larger facility.

New Millennium Rentals has moved into its new 12,000 sq.-ft. facility, located at 4 Industrial Drive in Florida, N.Y. On a five-acre parcel just 5 mi. off Route 17, 10 mi. from both I-84 and the New York State Thruway (I-87), and only 55 mi. north of New York City, this new facility is well situated to provide easy access for excavator and attachment rental service and transportation to the entire Eastern corridor.

“The purchase and relocation to this larger facility, as a home base for New Millennium, increases our opportunity to better serve our customers needs,” said Peter Menner, owner and president of New Millennium. “In addition to maintaining our current business flow, we now have plenty of additional space to make necessary expansions, which will include new wash bays and a paint booth. We are also in the process of making significant increases in our parts inventory. More room for excavators and attachments means more room for rentals and attachment sales, which means more business for us and even better product availability and service for our customers.”

Menner founded New Millennium Rentals in 1999. His mission was and remains providing companies in the demolition, recycling, environmental and reconstruction industries with the opportunity to rent heavy equipment specifically designed to meet the needs of a particular job. In addition to providing unique demolition rental solutions, the company also has expanded its services to include sales and trade of demolition units with specialized attachments, demo equipment transportation, and on-site equipment needs evaluations.

New Millennium Rentals’ inventory of excavators with specialized attachments include long-reach excavators, high-reach demolition fronts, rotating shears, concrete processors and hydraulic breakers. In addition to these standard demo unit attachment combinations, New Millennium Rentals also offers design build services for contractors in need of excavators with attachments specifically engineered or remounted to alternative carriers.

Recently New Millennium Rentals mounted amphibious undercarriages to Link-Belt excavators with long-reach sticks for an environmental remediation and restoration project in the southeast.

New Millennium Rentals is an authorized distributor of Link-Belt excavators, Genesis shears, Toku breakers, and a host of other first class attachment manufacturers.

New Millennium Rentals makes its packages available for rent anywhere in the continental United States. Its fleet of excavators include weights of 30,000 to 180,000 lbs.

The fourth quarter of 2011 saw the creation of specialty equipment remarketing services. This division was formed to assist excavating contractors with the dispersal of excess equipment primarily excavators and wheel loaders no longer needed. This has proven to be a much more cost effective option versus traditional auctions for the contractors, according to New Millennium. This division then remarkets these assets through its large customer base across North America and Canada, with the addition of a specialized attachments steel shears, gen-set/magnet or grapples. This, in turn, increases the value and utility of the used excavator for the new user in the scrap recycling or demolition business sectors.
