New York Highway Superintendents Honor Buffalo-Based Auction Company at Annual Awards Ceremony

On Sept. 21, 2017 Auctions International of East Aurora New York accepted the 2017 VISION award from the New York State Association of Towns Superintendents Of Highways (NYSAOTSOH) at their 88th Annual Conference, Education Symposium and EXPO Annual Banquet in Ellicottville, New York.

On Sept. 21, 2017 Auctions International of East Aurora New York accepted the 2017 VISION award from the New York State Association of Towns Superintendents Of Highways (NYSAOTSOH) at their 88th Annual Conference, Education Symposium and EXPO Annual Banquet in Ellicottville, New York.

The name of the award is an acronym for Vendors Involved Supportive Influential Outreaching Networking. Introduced in 1990, the VISION award was created to recognize those vendor members who had demonstrated ongoing exceptional service to New York's local highway industry.  

 Based out of East Aurora, New York, Auctions International, was chosen over 100 associate members of NYSAOTSOH.  Auctions International specializes in the online sales of government and educational surplus equipment for municipalities and educational institutions throughout the United States. The company has been a participating member of the NYSAOHS for over 10 years. Accepting the award for Auctions International, was Russ Scherrer,president of the company, who was accompanied by his entire New York State Sales Force. 

“We don't take this honor lightly,” said Scherrer. “We value our relationship with the Highway Superintendents. Their commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of our local roads and highways is unsurpassed. We look forward to many more years of serving this excellent association together.”

Alex Gregor, superintendent of highways for the Town of Southampton, Long Island and chairman of the Vendor Relations Committee, was one of the 19 members on the executive committee to choose Auctions International as their 2017 recipient.

“Auctions International has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to ensuring our organization's agendas, principals and goals are realized," said Gregor. ”From their consistent participation in our Annual Advocacy Day in Albany or yearly conference, they have been with us. This award is our way of showing our appreciation."
