Norris Sales Company held a Wacker Neuson Road Show in Plymouth Meeting, Pa., on June 4 and in Sicklerville, N.J. on June 6.

The events were held to showcase Wacker Neuson compact equipment line, specifically the larger pieces of equipment, such as wheel loaders, dumpers and excavators.

“For years Wacker Neuson has been a premier light construction equipment manufacturer of plates and rammers. But what might be lesser known to our marketplace is their state-of-the-art larger equipment line. So this event provided a unique opportunity for our customers to test and experience their complete line of products.” said Karen Zajick, vice president of Norris Sales. “As the exclusive Wacker Neuson distributor for southeastern Pennsylvania and south Jersey — we were thrilled to host this event to not only showcase these products but also to show Norris Sales’ continued dedication to bringing innovative products to our local market.”

In total, more than 400 contractors and local town public works department members attended the two events. During the event in Plymouth Meeting, the Montgomery County Public Works Association (MCPWA) of Pennsylvania held a general membership meeting, which drew public works departments to the show from numerous municipalities and townships around the area. Norris Sales held a seminar on Wacker Neuson during the MCPWA meeting. There, Jonah Yezzi, product solution specialist, compact equipment of Wacker Neuson, discussed the features and benefits of the company’s product line.

“Wacker Neuson’s wheeled excavator is a machine that can be driven on the highway and can turn in a small area,” said Zajick. “It’s good for road work and eliminates the need to truck the excavator in with the tracks. This is an ideal product for public works departments since it can be driven on the road. The WL 30 wheel loader is also a very powerful piece for snow removal.”

Norris Sales offered trade-in specials during the shows on some Wacker products as well as a special discount to attendees if they purchased a Wacker Neuson wheel loader, excavator or side dumper by the end of June.

In Sicklerville, former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and current ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski stopped by to meet with guests, sign autographs and be available for photos.

Lunch was provided at both Wacker Neuson shows and was catered by the Bridgeport Rib House.

Later in the day at each event, Norris Sales gave away an iPad 2. Winners were Bill Arnold of Brightline Construction and Vince Moore of Monroe MUA.

Zajick said she was pleased with how the shows turned out and added that the company may consider doing similar events in the future. “Our customers are the most important thing to us,” said Zajick. “And we wanted to have an event to showcase just some of the products we carry here at Norris Sales that can make their jobs easier.”
