This purple Chevrolet El Camino was one of a few vintage cars up for bid at the auction. Joseph Cardillo (L), owner of Joseph P. Cardillo & Son Inc., a general contractor in Wakefield, Mass., and Paul Blais, Construction Support Equipment in Whitaker, N.H., were at the sale looking to score some great deals. Steve Tedstone (L), salesman, and Mike Sherman, used equipment manager, both of Milton CAT, were in attendance at the North Country sale. E. Douglas Ryan, New England regional manager of North Country Auctions, was one of many of North Country’s crew. Paul LeBlanc, mechanic of Ronald J. Loiselle Inc. located in Chelmsford, Mass., was sent out to check out particular pieces of equipment. Angelino’s Sausage House, located on 11 Westside Drive in Exeter, N.H., was at the sale all day with its food truck serving its well-known burgers and steak sandwiches. There was a very nice selection of mini-excavators up for grabs.

North Country-Auctions, held a major inventory reduction sale in Concord, N.H., on Oct. 15. at E.W. Sleeper's location on 391 Loudon Road. Sleeper, a local heavy equipment dealer that carries lines such as Kawasaki, Yanmar, Vibroscreen and more. The sale also featured equipment from Azores Construction located in Windham, N.H., and the estate of Keith Bryar.

The morning started off dreary and cold, which is expected with a fall sale in the New England region, but the warm weather surprisingly broke through and allowed for a beautiful day for people to come out and enjoy the event. There were more than 250 ground bidders and an additional 150 online bidders via Equipmentfacts.com. The highest bid items included a 2013 Kawasaki 85Z-7 wheel loader, a Cat 950-H wheel loader and Cat D6R XL dozer.
