Construction Equipment Guide

The Mid-April Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) held its annual spring meetings in Richmond, VA, on April 17 to 19.

The meetings were well represented by all aggregate producers in the region, which provided an excellent opportunity for producers to educate themselves in seminars. Some of the topics discussed included: screening efficiencies and media selection, human resources and justification of capital expenditures.

Old Dominion Equipment & Supply, in its second year of business, was there in full force.

Some of Old Dominion’s key suppliers also were in attendance, including: Sean Grieve of Simplicity, supplier of screens, vibrating feeders, portable wash plants and portable rip rap plants; and Jim Robinson, of Stephens Adamson, who educated customers in the selection of conveyor components.

Old Dominion Equipment also announced an expansion to its business with the addition of Robert Grissom. Grissom will supply part of Virginia and the state of North Carolina with aggregate parts and equipment.
