Jerry Gorski, construction engineer of Gorski Engineering Inc., Collegeville, Pa., was sworn in as Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) national chairman-elect at ABC’s 2008 National Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The ceremony occurred during ABC’s national board of directors meeting.
Gorski officially began his one-year term as ABC chairman-elect on Jan. 1, 2008.
“Jerry Gorski has been an active, involved member of this association for years, and his passion for ABC, and for the betterment of the entire construction industry will make him an excellent chairman,” said Kirk Pickerel, ABC president and CEO.
“We look forward to Jerry’s leadership as chairman-elect and as a member of our national executive committee during the upcoming year.”
Gorski previously served as ABC’s Region 7 vice chairman representing members and chapters in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
His 20 years of ABC experience have included roles as chairman of the Business Development Committee for three years and as a committee member for seven years. Additionally, Gorski spent two years as chairman of the Member Services Coordinating Committee. He also serves as chairman of the board of directors of ABC Services Corp.
At the chapter level, Gorski was chairman of the Southeast Pennsylvania Chapter in 1996 and has more than 10 years of service on the chapter’s board of directors. He also has served as chairman of chapter committees on membership, nominations and member involvement.
Gorski Engineering, a member of ABC’s Southeast Pennsylvania and Eastern Pennsylvania chapters, provides planning, design, and construction services to industrial, commercial and institutional clients throughout eastern Pennsylvania.
