The compactors and pavers proved a hot commodity among paving contractors who are getting ready for their season to start. Amanda Merritt of Construction Equipment Guide and Bob Bertholde, owner of B&D Motors in Nelliston, N.Y., with the Kubota mini-excavator he just purchased. The paving season in the Northeast is about to kick off and these pavers are ready to get the job done. Joe (L) and Eric Booths, owners of Booth Contracting Inc. travelled from Doylestown, Pa., to attend the auction. David Manning (L), owner of DMI Paving, Brattleboro, Vt., and his son, Brett Manning, are at the sale looking to update their fleet. Dan McHugh (L) of Brookside Equipment Sales, Philipston, Mass., and Dan Wilcox, owner of Wilcox Tractor in North Carolina, are loyal participants of the Petrowsky sales. Tom Fuimarello, owner of Traveling Trees in Rhode Island, has a passion for military vehicles and had his eyes on this military truck. Petrowsky’s three-day sale featured a significant number of loader backhoes, excavators, mini-excavators and dozers for auction goers to choose from. Petrowsky Auctioneers’ fully climate-controlled indoor auction area allows guests to comfortably bid on equipment when the weather outside isn’t ideal. Petrowsky’s auction ramp allows the equipment to drive-up the ramp so that bidders can view the machines from inside. Once sold, a machine rolls off the ramp so that the next piece in line can have its turn. Bidders are provided a clear view of the equipment they’re bidding on, while they sit comfortably inside the fully climate-controlled auction room.

The sale featured equipment from American Industries, Tilcon CT, Pine Bush Equipment, SLT Equipment Corp. and other area contractors and equipment dealers and included a wide range of medium and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, fleet vehicles, earthmoving and paving equipment, as well as agriculture, landscaping, and site development equipment.
