Philip Medico will be entering the position of sales manager of Medico Industries Inc. He has been with Medico for the past 17 years, the first four managing the Pocono branch, and the following 13 years in heavy equipment sales. Philip is the son of President and CEO Thomas Medico and is the third generation of family at Medico Industries. He was raised working in the business taking part in each facet of the construction equipment business during his high school and college years including steam cleaning and servicing machines, working in the parts department, and selling service preventive maintenance contracts. Today, he is respected in the industry for his product knowledge and coupled with his financial expertise he has been able to grow his sales and market share in each territory he has been assigned.

Philip was invited to manage the Pocono branch of Medico in 1996 and quickly grew sales numbers in service and parts as well as assisting the sales team. In 2000 he was asked by sales manager Bill Vinsko to help in a sales territory that was not reaching its potential and quickly grew that to the company’s highest producing territory. He also has assisted management on interdepartmental teams to help grow the parts, rental and service business of Medico. Philip is known for utilizing technology to drive his business efficiently, but understands that customer contact and building relationships is the foundation of Medico Industries.

Philip is an active member in The National Utilities Contractors Association, receiving the Philadelphia Chapter Associate of the Year Award in 2012.

Philip said he is honored to be chosen by the board of directors at Medico for this position and that he is grateful for the training, guidance and friendship of his mentor and manager Bill Vinsko. He hopes to carry on the high level of professionalism and dedication to their customers that Bill Vinsko demonstrated for 25 years as sales manager. He is eager for the opportunity to work even closer with his father Tom as they grow their business with the entire team at Medico, strengthening their relationships with their customers.

Medico Industries has been a Case Construction Equipment dealer for more than 50 years. Medico also represents Kawasaki, Takeuchi, Skytrak, Wacker Neuson, Atlas Copco, AGL, Rogers, Indeco, Laymor, Duratech, Husqvarna and Efficiency.
