For the second consecutive year, Pine Bush Equipment Group participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The event took place on the weekend of June 16 at Town of Cranford Park in Pine Bush, N.Y., and raised more than $16,000.

Team chairpersons Simra Alfonso, Kathy Trojahn, Michele Mecking and Carl Sherman spent Father’s Day weekend walking and working in the team tent. This year the team also hosted Cancer Society benefits throughout the year, including a golf outing, scrap booking day and Lotto calendars. Pine Bush Equipment donated light towers, generators and an all-terrain vehicle for use by all participants at the Relay for Life.

Team members are planning ahead for next year’s event. “Our team mission for next year is to get more people involved and raise our fundraising goal to $20,000,” said Alfonso.

“We are very active in the communities we serve,” said Holly Bodnar, president of Pine Bush Equipment. “We try and help as much as we can.”

Pine Bush Equipment Group has locations in Pine Bush and Holmes, N.Y., and in Newington, Conn. For more information, call 845/744-2006, or visit pbeinc.com.
