Based in Charlotte, N.C., Pinnacle Cranes is a leading Link-Belt crane dealer for both North and South Carolina, with one of the largest inventories of new and used cranes.

Not content to rest on its laurels, the company, a division of Carolina Tractor & Equipment Company, is now expanding its reach by offering Manitex boom trucks.

“We are excited to introduce the Manitex product line to the Carolinas, especially the new model 5128, a 50-ton model which will be mounted on the new Cat truck. This is a great addition, and will help complete our total crane product line in addition to Link-Belt,” said Jim Mackinson, vice president of Pinnacle Cranes.

In 2011 and 2012 the company increased its inventory of new cranes in order to provide customers with a wider choice of equipment, and to this end Pinnacle Cranes will receive the first new Link-Belt 238 HSL 150-ton (136 t) crawler crane to arrive in the Carolinas. The new crane will arrive in March.

“In 2012 our primary goal is to be the number one crane service company in our market place, and one of our top priorities is to provide local service in order to meet the needs of our customers,” Mackinson said.

“Pinnacle Cranes is very fortunate to have a team with a total of 475 years of crane experience. In addition, we recently hired Mark Baker, a veteran of the crane industry, to be our parts and service sales representative as well as our manitex boom truck specialist. Our daily focus is to provide professional service and parts support to both Link-Belt and Manitex crane owners.”

The company also plans to increase its support services by hiring technicians to be based in branches in Raleigh N.C., and Charleston, S.C.

Pinnacle Cranes’ other lines include Elliott boom trucks and Hi-Reach trucks as well as Shuttlelift industrial carry deck cranes.
