PIRTEK USA, a leader in fluid transfer solutions, has been ranked No. 173 in Entrepreneur magazine's Franchise 500 list for 2017. The new ranking marks a gain of 64 places over the 2016 ranking.

For 38 years, the publication has been rating the nation's top franchises based on growth rate, financial strength and stability, and the size of each franchise system. This year, additional criteria used to help assess companies include costs, growth, brand strength and financial stability. PIRTEK's advancement on the Franchise 500 list means that in only two years, the company has moved up 249 places.

“We're so pleased to have such a prestigious publication as Entrepreneur recognize PIRTEK year after year,” said Glenn Duncan, chief executive officer of PIRTEK International. “Our amazing climb up this list of companies in the past two Franchise 500 issues is a tribute to the success of our strategy, as well as our products and support. It says a lot about PIRTEK.”

PIRTEK also ranked first in its category of hose service and supply centers/mobile services.

The only franchise brand of its kind in the United States, PIRTEK specializes in fluid transfer solutions through its Service & Supply Centers located throughout the country. PIRTEK team members also are available 24/7 to provide onsite repairs to hydraulic and industrial hoses, due to the company's specially equipped mobile service vehicles. PIRTEK boasts more than 400 franchise locations in 23 countries around the world, including 61 in the United States.

One of PIRTEK's new initiatives introduced during 2016 was its Tier 2 franchise program. To help potential franchisees who have not met all the resource requirements, the company rolled out a mobile-only option with a $20,000 point of entry.

“The Tier 2 program has opened up many areas of opportunity since we introduced it in September,” said Duncan. “Several people have taken advantage of this new avenue and we expect to see many more during 2017.”

As in previous years, sponsorships continue to be an important part of the PIRTEK vision. PIRTEK is a corporate sponsor of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series, the world's largest snowmobile racing series. The company also helps support the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation, established in honor of American Sniper, Chris Kyle.

In 2016, PIRTEK sponsored Matt Brabham, who drove the PIRTEK Team Murray IndyCar in last year's Indianapolis 500. This year, the company is a sponsor for driver Austin Cindric in the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“As we continue the Tier 2 program, our corporate sponsorships, and the pursuit of new markets in 2017, PIRTEK will press toward an even higher Entrepreneur ranking next time,” Duncan said. “It's exciting, and we're looking forward to even more growth in the coming months.”
