Bomag Americas and Plasterer Equipment Co. Inc. have entered into a new distribution agreement that includes the manufacturer’s soils and light asphalt compaction and landfill equipment lines, according to Jim Head, territory manager of Bomag. Throughout south central and southeastern Pennsylvania, including the Philadelphia market, Plasterer Equipment now specializes in the sale, rental, and parts and service support of Bomag’s broad line of single drum rollers, light tandem and combination rollers, and embankment and refuse compactors.

“Since our acquisition of the paver and reclaimer/stabilizer lines earlier this year, Bomag has taken a strategic look at our distribution network to make sure we have the right equipment matched with each distributor, so our customers have access to the right solutions and best support possible,” said John Hood, director of sales, heavy equipment of Bomag Americas Inc. “Plasterer Equipment is a prime example of this strategic distribution concept. The company has a strong background in the soils and rental markets and has developed a solid reputation for outstanding parts and service support.”

At the heart of this new contract is Bomag’s vast line of single drum smooth and padfoot rollers, which can be used for applications ranging from site prep and trench compaction to highway and landfill compaction and maintenance. High frame to drum weight ratios offer improved compaction performance throughout the line. The light tandem and combination rollers now offered throughout the territory give Plasterer Equipment flexible asphalt compactors to supplement the distributor’s rental fleet.

“The contracted Bomag soil, light asphalt and landfill equipment aligns perfectly with the strengths of Plasterer Equipment,” said Head. “This family-owned company knows the value of hard work and what it takes to make the customer successful. Plasterer Equipment is committed to renting equipment, which is critical for the soils market, and supports the customer well from four offices located throughout the territory.”

Family-owned, Plasterer Equipment has been a part of the construction and agriculture markets in Pennsylvania for more than a century. Understanding that equipment is the customer’s lifeline, Plasterer Equipment offers emergency service, working hours that align with customers’ schedules, parts stocking and next day availability for parts.

“Our motto, ’When you purchase a machine, we deliver our company,’ is our way of doing business and a reflection of how important it is for us to support our customers,” said Mike Kernan, vice president of sales of Plasterer Equipment. “We are excited about taking on the Bomag equipment lines. Bomag manufactures reliable and rugged equipment that will allow us to offer more solutions for our customers’ needs.”

With its corporate office located in Lebanon, Pa., Plasterer Equipment also has offices in Bethlehem, Sellersville and Lewisberry, Pa.
