The new Powershredder 2400 from Powerscreen is designed for greater volume and size reduction, with easier material rehandling after processing.

The machine provides consistent, uniform sizing and handles almost any material, including domestic and household waste, mixed construction waste, waste wood, pallets, railway sleepers and ties, logging and sawmill waste, green waste, trees and brush, industrial waste, plastics and trade waste.

There is an easy exchange of various shaft configurations for different materials and automatic and fixed reverse shafts. Shaft speed is 12 to 25 rpm. The machine produces low noise and dust levels.

The Powershredder is mobile with a small footprint and low loading tipping hopper. The target area is 7 ft. 4 in. by 7 ft. 4 in. It has a full remote control, which can be operated a safe distance from the machine. discharge height is 13 ft. 1 in. and total weight is 36.3 tons. A diesel hydraulic with Cat C-15 (540 hp at 2,200 rpm), options include hopper extensions and breaker bar installed below shafts to reduce size of material.
