Ransome Rents Digs Into Pennsylvania With Limerick Site

Ransome Rents recently broke ground in Limerick, PA, on the future site of the its newest rental store. The store will be located at 125 Industrial Parkway and will be the company’s fourth Delaware Valley rental store to open in two years.

The store, which is slated to open in April 2000, will carry equipment from manufacturers such as JLG, Genie, Sullair, Multiquip, Allmond and Caterpillar. Equipment types include aerial, air, compact construction, compaction, concrete and masonry, earthmoving, electrical, material handling, light towers and telehandlers.

General contractor North Star Construction Management of Allentown, PA, began construction on the 1.6-hectare (4 acre) site in December and will finish in spring of 2000. North Star awarded the site development contract to Schlouch Inc. of Blandon, PA.

“The goal of Ransome Rents is to become the preferred rental store in the Delaware Valley,” explained Ken Bryant, Ransome Rents vice president. “The addition of this fourth store in Limerick greatly expands our serving area and will help us to achieve our goal of offering quality equipment and excellent customer service to the region.”

The company currently operates three other rental stores in Allentown, PA, Pleasantville, NJ, and New Castle, DE.

When completed, the new 1,115-square-meter (12,000 sq. ft.) facility will house a wide variety of construction, commercial and industrial equipment, which will be available for daily, weekly and monthly rentals.

Ransome Rents of Limerick will be managed by Store Manager Tom Hahn, and he will be joined by Sales Representative Brian Staley.

The Limerick Ransome Rents store also will serve as a parts drop-off/pick-up point for area Giles &Ransome customers.

Ransome Rents is the rental service division of Giles & Ransome Inc., a Bensalem, PA-based Caterpillar construction equipment dealer.
