Ring Power Corporation announced the appointment of Lon Barfield to assistant governmental sales manager and Darryl Kehoe to new heavy equipment sales.

Barfield, who joined Ring Power in 2006 as a customer training manager, was responsible for the company's customer training and training needs analysis programs. Effective June 15, Barfield's responsibilities will include marketing and selling the products and services of all Ring Power divisions to governmental agencies throughout north Florida.

"Over the last five years, Lon has created and developed a safety training program that is a huge asset to every salesperson at Ring Power," said Vice President Governmental Sales Manager Alan Thomas. "I am confident that his professionalism, enthusiasm and the many skills that he will bring to the position will enhance our governmental sales efforts."

Kehoe, who assumed his new role June 1, joined Ring Power in 2002 as a Challenger agriculture product sales specialist. Since then, Kehoe has successfully grown the agricultural market segment for Ring Power. As a representative of new heavy equipment sales in the Tampa territory, Kehoe hopes to continue to build upon his reputation throughout central Florida to help further expand the company's share of the construction, earth moving and mining equipment business.

New Sales Managers

Ring Power SVP/Director of Rental Services Kevin Robbins announced the promotions of Jerry Burford and Brian Cholmondeley to sales managers of The Cat Rental Store (CRS) division.

Burford assumed the role of CRS west coast sales manager in April and now works out of the Ring Power facility in Riverview, where he oversees the activities of CRS account managers in the Tallahassee, Brooksville, Tarpon Springs, Tampa, Lakeland and Sarasota territories. After joining Ring Power in February 2000, Burford served as a CRS account manager for several years and, most recently, as a heavy equipment sales representative in the Lakeland territory.

Cholmondeley became CRS east coast sales manager June 1 and now divides his time between Ring Power's facilities in St. Augustine and Orlando. He is responsible for the activities of CRS account managers in Orlando, Ocala, Palm Bay, Daytona, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Lake City and St. Augustine. Cholmondeley began his career with Ring Power in June 1994. In 17 years with the company, Cholmondeley has held various positions, including management trainee, heavy equipment sales representative and assistant governmental sales manager.

"With more than 28 years of experience combined, Burford and Cholmondeley are obviously well prepared to lead The Cat Rental Store," said Robbins. "Management is confident in their ability to build on the division's continued success."

Ring Power is Central and Northeast Florida's exclusive Caterpillar dealer, headquartered in St. Augustine. The Cat Rental Store, one of Ring Power Corporation's eight divisions, specializes in daily, weekly and monthly rental of all types of contractor's equipment.
