Ritchie Bros. recently held two auctions in Pennsylvania.
More than 1,300 bidders participated online and in person at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers’ multi-million dollar unreserved public equipment auction in Canton, Pa., on June 28.
Bidders came from more than 40 countries, including 48 U.S. states. More than 64 percent of the equipment was sold to buyers outside the state, from as far away as Australia, Bolivia, Malaysia and Norway. Online bidders purchased more than 23 percent of the equipment sold (based on total gross auction proceeds).
In total, more than 500 equipment lots were sold in the auction, including more than 40 hydraulic excavators, 20 crawler tractors, as well as wheel loaders, truck tractors, pickup trucks and more.
The sale included five 2009 Caterpillar 583T crawler pipelayers that all sold for $590,000 each.
In Birdsboro, Pa., more than 600 bidders participated online and in person June 29.
Bidders came from close to 30 countries, including 41 U.S. states. More than 76 percent of the equipment was sold to buyers outside the state, from as far away as Australia, Columbia, India and New Zealand. Online bidders purchased more than 22 percent of the equipment sold (based on total gross auction proceeds).
In total, more than 900 equipment lots were sold in the auction.
