On Saturdays in Knoxville, Tenn., the entertainment is usually reserved for the football field: the University of Tennessee proudly sport their signature orange as the Tennessee Volunteers take the field. But for this season of Volunteer football, there's another bright orange spectacle adjacent to the gridiron: a Volunteer-inspired, tricked-out Kubota utility vehicle.

This is not just any Kubota UTV, it's a Kubota RTV-X1140, customized and designed to promote Knoxville Kubota dealer RJV Kubota to fans walking through Volunteer Village outside of Neyland Stadium.

The alterations include a turbocharger, custom exhaust, a custom air intake and a sound system that echoes through the Volunteer Village. And of course, it's decked out in Volunteer Football orange, also known as Kubota orange, depending on whom you're talking to.

"It's very unique and eye catching," said David Bowman, Kubota southeast regional sales manager. "I never dreamed you could actually customize one of our utility vehicles to this extent."

The RTV-X1140 is wrapped in Tennessee football logos (with a big Kubota logo on top on the machine) and is used by the Tennessee football staff to make announcements and blare music before football games. The added AV ports, including an AUX input and Bluetooth capabilities, certainly help. Local announcers and DJs use the vehicle to let everybody in Volunteer Village to know what's going on.

The mastermind behind the vehicle's custom look is Chris Alexander, the branch manager for RJV Kubota. With the blessing of the dealership's owner, Ray Romano, Alexander, affectionately known as Dr. Frankenstein, custom upgraded this UTV to promote RJV Kubota at Tennessee football games. It is planned to make an appearance at all home Volunteer football games.

"Building this beast was a lot of fun," Alexander said. "We're proud to partner with Tennessee football and promote RJV Kubota to the good folks of Knoxville."

"This is a custom utility vehicle created specifically for Volunteer football games," Bowman said. "We use this RTV to show people the possibilities of what can be done with any of Kubota's RTVs — the sky is the limit. We want to generate extra excitement for UT football.

"It's an attention grabber," Bowman added. "I'm anxious to hear feedback from spectators on game day as the season rolls on. Kubota orange meets Volunteer orange in the perfect partnership."
