David Weston, general manager of Road Machinery, decided to expand the company's Gilbert, Ariz., facility in late November 2008. The facility is located at 1339 West San Pedro St.

Road Machinery, a Komatsu dealer, has 14 locations throughout Arizona, California and New Mexico.

"Road Machinery chose to expand during these times due to the availability of good commercial property, the ability to enhance our presence in the market place and to demonstrate our confidence in the greater Phoenix and surrounding area with a substantial investment in the community," said Weston. "Along with Komatsu heavy and utility, we also represent NPK hammers, Sennebogan material handling equipment, Metso crushing and screening products as well as Wirtgen milling, Vogele paving and Hamm compaction equipment."

The facility sits on 8.85 acres and has an 8-bay shop, fully equipped with overhead cranes and room to expand.

Additionally, the Gilbert facility has a 5,000 sq.-ft. warehouse currently under construction.

The 4,500 sq.-ft. office building houses the Corporate Warranty Administration, Construction/Quarry Sales, Service and Rental offices.

The Gilbert facility has more than 30 employees including General Manager David Weston, Service Manager Scott Bingman and Rental Operations Manager Brian Collins. Sales and product support will take care of the construction and quarry industries throughout central Arizona

"Whenever there is any kind of construction or quarry type activity happening in this area, Road Machinery plans to be ready and equipped to be in the middle of it," Weston concluded.
