Roland Machinery Hosts Paving Seminar in Wilmington, Ill.

Roland Machinery Co. hosted a best practice paving seminar at the Local 150 training center in Wilmington, Ill., on Feb. 23. The training site is a 342,000-sq.-ft. facility that has more than 200 pieces of heavy equipment. There were 130 attendees at the event.

Laikram Narsigh, an applications and technology specialist of the Wirtgen Group, taught the class on the fundamentals of paving and segregation. He then took the class out to the indoor arena and did a paver walk around, followed by a paving demo, laying down sand.

Dan Sant Anselmo, application support manager of Hamm, taught the class on the basics of compaction. The attendees were able to walk around the rollers and have one-on-one discussions with Anselmo.
