Ronald Wietbrock, 85, lifelong resident of Lowell, Ind., passed away March 7, 2024.

Mr. Weitbrock was co-owner of the family business, Ronson Equipment.

A construction equipment industry veteran for more than 50 years, he, along with his son, David, founded the company in Griffith, Ind., in August 2000. At the start, it was a four-man operation — the Wietbrocks, Skip Henson and Terry Miller.

The company quickly expanded to a larger facility in Lowell. As the product lines grew, a second location in Westville, Ind., opened with its top lines that include Kobelco, DEVELON, ASV and Kioti.

Mr. Weitbrock is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy; daughters-in-law, Susie and Lisa; grandchildren, Kelsey (Kyle) Pattee, Kristy (Ryan) Sanders, Sarah (Zachery Schrock) and John (Mackenzie); great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Aubrey and Maverick Pattee; Jack Sanders; sister, Marlene Quisenberry; sister-in-law, Evelyn; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sons, David and Paul, and a brother Clyde.

Mr. Weitbrock was a very active and lifelong member of Lowell's Trinity Lutheran Church, member of Lowell Lions Club and was an Army Reservist. He loved fishing and was a two-time Fish Fest champ. He was a founding member of the Lowell Grandpa's Breakfast Club.

Most important to Mr. Weitbrock was sharing with his family how to live a faith-filled and loving life.

Funeral services were held March 11. Memorial contributions may be given to his church at 631 W. Commercial Ave.
