Chicago Machinery Co. has been named a SANY America excavator dealer covering a 150-mi. radius surrounding Chicago in northern Illinois and northern Indiana.

“The Thoesen family has stood for quality and doing the job right for over 40 years,” said Eric Teague, vice president of earthmoving SANY America. “That’s why SANY has the utmost confidence in Chicago Machinery in representing SANY in a manner our customers expect and deserve. We look forward to a great partnership with Chicago Machinery.”

The company now known as Chicago Machinery was founded in 1969 as Thoesen Tractor by Peter Thoesen Sr., who started his business based on his expertise as a heavy equipment mechanic. Later his sons would learn the craft from their father and expand the business into sales, rentals and more.

Today Thoesen Tractor, specializing in parts and service, and Chicago Machinery are solely owned and operated by Joe Thoesen. Both companies feature staff with extensive industry experience, many with more than 25 years in the business. Chicago Machinery will represent the complete SANY excavator product line.

“As we expanded our business into the demolition, scrap and recycling segments we looked for a hydraulic excavator line that would meet our customer’s strong demand,” said Chicago Machinery Owner Joe Thoesen. “What we liked about SANY was that all their excavator machines came with full function hydraulics at no extra charge, along with a three-year machine warranty and easy financing for our customers. Each machine is built with all the desirable components, and we were impressed with their value proposition in relation to other competitors. SANY is a great value.”

SANY America’s excavator offerings include the 7.5-ton (6.8 t) SY75C, the 13.5-ton (12.2 t) SY135C, the 21.5-ton (19.5 t) SY215C and the 23.5-ton (21.3 t) SY235C. Additional models will be introduced in North America in the coming year.
