Transporting and handling timber has become easier with Sennebogen’s new 830 M-T trailer puller material handling machine. The newest member of the company’s D Series line, the 830 M-T has enhanced pulling capacity, high lifting capacities, smooth acceleration and easy access to and from the cab, according to the manufacturer.

The 830 M-T is equipped with a powerful six cylinder, inline, Cummins Tier III engine rated at 206 hp (153.5 kW). A machine specially designed for extreme working conditions, the 830 M-T features a strong boom system with a working radius of up to 45 ft. (13.7 m).

“The 830 M-T D Series reflects our ongoing commitment to the logging and forestry industry,” said Sennebogen President Constantino Lannes. “This machine has been specially engineered to meet the needs of timber processing facilities allowing them to be more productive with a machine that focuses on operational cost savings, safety, comfort and efficiency.”

The Sennebogen 830 M-T D Series features the hydraulic elevating maXCab that can be raised up to 20 ft. (6 m) allowing the operator an unobstructed bird’s eye view. This standard feature on the 830 M-T gives the operator the advantage of seeing past wood piles to get more load with each grab.

Safety & Productivity Is Built-In

The safety features are centered around operator and maintenance personnel access, starting with the cab where a sliding door is combined with the adjacent catwalk. This provides an easy and safe way for the operator to step into and out of the cab along with the typical ladder access provided on machines equipped with a swinging door. Getting to and from the cab is easier due to the large steps mounted on each side of the undercarriage and catwalk equipped with full railing.

Additionally on the 830 M-T, the top of the uppercarriage is fully fall protected with railings all around making maintenance a safe procedure.

Maintaining Sennebogen’s philosophy of keeping it simple, the 830 M-T’s hydraulic system does not rely on computers. These purpose built machines utilize smart and simple engineering without relying on complex electronic instruments to ensure the machine simply starts up and works without unnecessary complications. They are just hydraulic over hydraulic controls, allowing easy troubleshooting without the need of laptops. According to Lannes, this is the proper way to design equipment that operates in a tough working environment like log loading facilities.
