Hy-Tek JCB, the Construction Equipment Division of Hy-Tek Material Handling Inc., has been awarded a contract to provide The Shelly Company with 10 2014 JCB 260 T4 skid steers. The Shelly Company — an Ohio supplier of asphalt paving materials — will use the skid steers at its aggregate sites and asphalt plants throughout Ohio. In addition, Hy-Tek JCB will provide parts, service, support, technical assistance, and training. The deal was announced by Hy-Tek JCB Vice President and General Manager Jason Milligan.

"The JCB skid steer is known for its patented single-arm PowerBoom and uniquely safe side-entry door. It’s considered the world’s safest and most innovative skid steer. The Shelly Company is noted for its safety-first approach to business. We’re delighted they have opted to add JCB skid steers to their material handling and construction equipment arsenal," said Milligan.

A division of 51-year-old Hy-Tek Material Handling, Hy-Tek JCB was formed in 2013 to serve central Ohio’s multi-county construction industry. Hy-Tek JCB provides sales, parts, service, and attachments for JCB’s complete line of construction equipment — including new, pre-owned, and rental models — at its headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. Hy-Tek JCB also offers a fully stocked parts department and a full-service maintenance team featuring professionally trained JCB mechanics. In addition, Hy-Tek offers full sales and service support for Yale lift trucks, including new and used equipment sales, rentals, fleet analysis, customized maintenance programs, and reliable aftermarket parts and service. Hy-Tek JCB also represents Felling trailers, a construction industry staple.

The Shelly Company boasts more than 90 facilities, and 1,800 employees, capable of servicing 81 of Ohio’s 88 counties. The Shelly Company has 37 asphalt plants, 28 aggregate quarries and sand and gravel operations, 22 ready-mix concrete plants, seven rail yards, three liquid asphalt terminals, and one river terminal in Ohio. The Shelly Company is headquartered in Thornville, Ohio, with offices in Columbus, Dover, Findlay, and Twinsburg.
