Stafford has been appointed the state of Alabama as part of its Terex Crane territory.

With the expansion of territory, Stafford now supports customers’ lifting needs in the states of Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.

Stafford will soon open an additional branch location in the Mobile, Ala., area to support customers across the state.

Dave Kuhlman, senior regional business manager of Terex Cranes, said that Stafford has played a key role in growing the Terex Crane market share in North America and noted, “Stafford is one of our top crane dealers in North America and does an outstanding job of promoting our lines, increasing market share and supporting their customers after the sale with parts and service.”

Scott Smith, director of sales of Terex Cranes, reiterated the Stafford commitment to the Terex Cranes lines by saying, “Stafford has always placed heavy emphasis on product training so that their territory managers are not only well versed on the cranes they sell, but they also understand the needs of their customers. Stafford is also an organization that believes strongly in having units in stock and available for customers. There is a very long and prosperous history between Terex Cranes and Stafford, so it makes great sense for us to expand their area of responsibility.”

The Terex Crane line includes crawler cranes, hydraulic truck and rough terrain cranes, Demag all-terrain and truck mounted boom trucks.

A strong dedication to “lean” manufacturing has also placed Terex Cranes at an advantage during an era when product availability is critical, said John Wall, president and CEO of Stafford.

“I’ve been to the various Terex Crane production facilities for many years, and am more impressed each time I visit,” he said. “With a strong emphasis on productivity, Terex Cranes has been able to greatly reduce the time it takes to produce a crane, meaning that we have what the customer needs quicker than ever before.”

Wall went on to say, “We are very excited about the expanded territory for Terex Cranes. Our philosophy at Stafford is very simple — if you don’t have it in stock, then you can’t provide it to your customer. That is why we constantly have inventory coming in each month and invest a great deal in parts.”

Wall offered plenty of high praise for the Terex Cranes product lines and said, “I’ve been in the crane business for a very long time and as far as I’m concerned, Terex Cranes offers us lines to sell that give us an advantage over the competition. Terex crawler cranes have set the standard for many years. Terex Cranes also offers many other advantages across the line, such as building machines to meet the ever changing road and weight regulations for easier transportation to the job site.”
