Stephenson Equipment (SEI), a leading provider of construction equipment, public works equipment and cranes in Pennsylvania and Upstate New York, has announced its acquisition of Valley Supply & Equipment in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. The acquisition aligns with Stephenson Equipment's commitment to delivering top-notch service and support.

Customers will now have the additional benefits of SEI's total resources, including access to the full inventory of equipment, parts, rental fleet and the additional service technicians and product specialists.

Stephenson Equipment President Charlie Walsh said, "Valley Supply & Equipment has built a reputation of strong customer relationships and local expertise in the construction and asphalt industry, which pairs nicely with SEI's core values of customer service. This acquisition not only broadens our geographic reach but also strengthens our ability to offer even better service and support in Maryland, Virginia and D.C. markets. We look forward to welcoming the Klein's and all of Valley's Employees to the SEI team."

Beyond the increased benefits for customers, with this acquisition Valley's employees will become employee-owners of Stephenson Equipment. SEI became an employee-owned company in 2023 and all full-time employees receive ESOP contributions as an additional and impactful benefit.

Valley Supply & Equipment and its employees are a natural fit for SEI, the company said. In addition to expanding SEI's footprint, Valley Supply and SEI share a number of important manufacturers.

"Upon acquiring Valley, SEI will grow to 294 employees strong. We are pleased to be joined by all the Valley employees and commit to provide them with the resources and opportunities to develop and succeed," the company said.
