Stone Construction Equipment Inc. has introduced an all new 47-in. wide, double-drum drive, double-drum vibration asphalt roller — the WolfPac 6100.
The roller offers the professional features requested in a road roller, yet is ideal for confined area asphalt compaction of base, binder and finish coats. With a design allowing the operator to direct the vibration to both drums, the front, or the rear drum; the WP6100 is the perfect roller for all phases of asphalt rolling, according to the manufacturer.
The operator can activate the vibration to the specific drum or drum combination through a specially-designed electro-hydraulic circuit combined with a custom-designed manifold.
Professional paving contractors get power to spare with the 33.5-hp (25 kW) water-cooled Kubota diesel. At 47 in. (119 cm) wide with 6,518 lbs. (2,956 kg) of impact, the roller is ideal for roads and road shoulders, commercial and industrial foundations, large parking lots, driveways and a wide variety of other confined areas and paved surfaces where impact and maneuverability count.
Featuring double-drum drive, internal vibration, centerpoint articulation coupled with a short wheelbase, and high curb and minimum wall clearance on both sides, the WolfPac 6100 practical in confined areas.
A pressurized water system with a gravity-feed back-up is standard on the roller. The corrosion-resistant water system includes a 47.5-gal. (180 L) reinforced polyethelene water tank with a water level gauge. The adjustable sprinklers direct an even flow of water to the drums reducing asphalt build-up. Working lights and a beacon are optional, allowing the roller to continue working even after dark.
Optimizing both steering and drive simultaneously for added control and climbability is an isolated, dedicated hydraulic circuit. The circuit includes Parker hydraulic components with a three-year warranty.
To provide maximum and easy service access to all components, the roller features contemporary styling with a contoured fiberglass swing-away hood. It is ergonomically designed, with a roomy operator compartment, vibration isolation; adjustable safety seat; an ergonomic steering arm and tilted steering wheel — all designed to be operator-friendly.
The conveniently located operator controls include a 4-in-1 lever with forward and reverse, vibration and speed. Gauges and lights provide machine monitoring at-a-glance.
The new Stone WolfPac 6100 roller is one of four asphalt rollers in the Stone WolfPac line.
